Full Description

A building with two smaller outbuildings is depicted on the Tithe Map for Lynton Parish at c. SS 7324 4633. It is labelled "Js. Bakers's" and is sited within plot 1017. The accompanying Apportionment describes this as "Houses and Garden", owned and occupied by John Keal. [1] The site is labelled "Lyncombe" on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map. Further small outbuildings had been constructed and a small quarry is shown slightly to the west, at SS 7315 4636. [2] None of the buildings are shown on the 2020 MasterMap data, although the quarry is shown as an earthwork. [3]
