Full Description

A circular clay pit is depicted but not labelled on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map at SS 9327 4544, at the eastern end of an orchard plot. [1] The feature is depicted similarly on the 2nd Edition map. [2] The 25 inch 3rd Edition map shows that the eastern side of the feature had been reduced in size. [3] The feature is not shown on 2020 MasterMap data. [4]
