Full Description

A quarry is depicted and labelled on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map at SS 8951 3625. [1] The quarry is not shown on the Winsford Tithe Map. [2] The site is labelled "Old Quarry" on the 2nd Edition map. [3] The 2018 MasterMap data depicts various earthworks in this area, but they may not be associated with the quarry. Alternatively, they may represent a later phase of extraction at the site. [4]
