Full Description

The 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map depicts and labels a quarry at SS 9383 4686. The site is reached by a routeway from Wydon to the north. [1] The quarry is depicted but not labelled on the 25 inch 2nd Edition map. [2] The quarry is not shown on 2018 MasterMap data; however the site is clearly visible as earthworks on aerial photographs dating to 1946-8 and 2017. [3-5]
