Lower Dumbledeer is shown on historic mapping. The farm buildings present in 2018 are shown on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map and appear to incorporate elements of or replace buildings shown here on the Tithe Map for Withycombe; at this time, the land belonged to John Fownes Luttrell Esq and was occupied by James Bryant. To the southeast were further structures shown on the Tithe Map and the 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps but these have since been removed from the site. [1-4]
