Full Description

A small barn (SS 9079 4537) and adjacent orchard (SS 9078 4537) are depicted on the Tithe Map for Luccombe. [1] The 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map shows a larger barn in a similar position. The original barn has either been extended or replaced by this time. The orchard is no longer shown but a pond has been created slightly to the east (SS 9080 4538). [2] By the time the 2nd Edition map was surveyed, the barn had been completely removed and only the earthwork remains are shown for the pond. [3]
