Full Description

No building appears to be shown in this location on the Tithe Map for Selworthy. [1] A smithy is depicted and labelled on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map for West Lynch at SS 9016 4762. It comprised a T shaped building with a further structure attached to its northwestern side, which abuts a formal walled garden (again to the northwest). [2] The arrangement shown on the 1st Edition [2] map is repeated on the 2nd Edition map. [3] 2018 MasterMap data shows that the T shaped part of the building was still apparently extant, although the northwestern structure had been removed. [4]
