Full Description

The signpost was surveyed in June 2017 as part of the Exmoor Signpost project 2017-8. It has a pyramidal finial featuring the inscription S C C. The fingers below read: MOLLAND 4 1/2 / NORTH MOLTON 7 WITHYPOOL 2 1/2 / EXFORD 4 1/2 HAWKRIDGE 1 1/4 / DULVERTON 5 1/4 The location collar reads WITHYPOOL POST. The signpost reads SOMERSET SHELDON WELLS. [1] The signpost was mapped on the HER using the 2018 Ordnance Survey MasterMap data. [2] The signpost was damaged in September 2021 and repaired by the Exmoor Signpost Project with a new post in 2023 [3].
