Full Description

A signpost was visited in January 2018 and its condition assessed. It has a pyramidal finial at the top which reads S C C. The attached fingers read: STOGUMBER COMBE SYDENHAM 1/2 B3188 ELWORTHY 1 3/4 / WIVELISCOMBE 7 [MISSING FINGER] The post is marked SOMERSET but features no maker's details. [1] The missing finger is currently shown on Google Streetview at a fairly low resolution. It has the following inscription: B3188 WILLITON 3 [?1/4] / WATCHET 4 [?1/4] / MINEHEAD 9 [?1/2] The signpost was mapped using Ordnance Survey MasterMap data. [3] The heritage asset was assessed for inclusion on the Exmoor Local Heritage List in February 2024. It was decided to add the asset to the Local Heritage List. [4]
