Full Description

The Tithe Map for Kings Brompton shows an L shaped building occupying a corner of a field at c. SS 9772 3311. [1] By the time the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map was produced, the building is depicted as a small rectangular structure. The original building has therefore been reduced in size or demolished and rebuilt on a smaller scale. It is not labelled. [2] The building is again depicted on the 2nd Edition map, with a small enclosure abutting the field boundary to the southwest. [3] A building is shown on 2018 MasterMap data at SS 9773 3311. This may or may not be the structure shown on historic mapping, as the field boundaries in this area have been subject to alteration. [4]
