Full Description

The site is shown as a clear area on the Tithe Map for Kings Brompton. [1] The 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map depicts and labels an old quarry at SS 9899 3216. [2] The quarry is again shown on the 2nd Edition map, and appears to be labelled "Quarry", suggesting it was again in use. (The mapping tiles in this area overlap and so may obscure if the site is labelled as "Old"). [3] The earthwork is not depicted on the 2018 MasterMap data, although the quarry area is shown as a separate small enclosed land parcel. [4]
