Full Description

A series of earthworks are shown on the 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps around SS 6028 4817. They may represent separate quarries, each of which may have been associated with mining activities on Girt Down, some of which are recorded to the west of the site (see MDE8274). [1,2] Some of the earthworks are still extant. [3]
