Full Description

Two old quarries are depicted and labelled on historic mapping at SS 8102 3816 and SS 8102 3812. The northern one is shown with a small building occupying the site in the early 20th Century, although this appears to have since been removed. [1-3] The quarries were noted on aerial photographs as irregular depressions. [4-6]
