Summary

An earthwork feature is depicted on historic mapping and was noted on aerial photographs at the head of a combe. It may be the result of quarrying but has alternatively been interpreted as a natural feature.

Full Description

The 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps depict an earthwork at the head of a combe at SS 8092 3790. [1,2] The feature was transcribed from aerial photographs. It was described as a short, even depression but was suggested to be natural in origin. [3-5]
