Full Description

Linear soil marks extending south-south westwards in this area are visible on a series of aerial photographs, ranging from RAF imagery taken in 1946 to aerial photographs in 2020. [1,2] LiDAR analysis in 2026 confirmed the extent of the soil marks, alongside the presence of possible pit features and an ephemeral rectilinear enclosure to the north with which they may be associated. Mapping was edited to reflect this enlarged area of interest, but further assessment and investigation is needed. [3]
