Full Description
A long leat is visible on the 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps, fed from a weir on the River Mole at c. SS 7567 3371 and controlled by a series of sluices before being fed back into the river at SS 7452 3327. Its function is not clear. [1,2] The leat is not depicted on the Tithe Map for North Molton. [3] The leat no longer appears to be extant. There are various ponds shown on modern MasterMap data between the original course of the leat and the river. [4]
