MEM24248 - Post-medieval field barn and enclosure west of North Radworthy (Monument)

The site is shown as a clear area of a field on the Tithe Map for North Molton. [1] The 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map shows a small building in the corner of a field at SS 7498 3412. Adjacent to the building is a small enclosure at SS 7497 3412. The building is likely to be a field barn. [2] By the time the 2nd Edition map was surveyed, the building appears to have been removed, although the enclosure remained. [3] Neither the building nor enclosure are shown on modern MasterMap data. The field boundary that the building was adjacent to has also been removed. [4]
