Full Description

SS 9447 3228. A quarried depression on Combeshead Hill (OS "Old Quarry"). [1,2] The 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map depicts a linear earthwork in a generally northeast to southwest alignment here. [3] The feature is again shown on the 2nd Edition map and labelled "Old Quarry". [4] The feature is depicted on modern MasterMap data and labelled "Workings (dis)", suggesting that it may be mining remains. [5]
