MEM24134 - Undated pit northeast of Emmett's Grange (Monument)

SS 7582 3741. Roughly circular depression with a diameter of c. 7 to 8 metres and a dept of c.0.2 metres maximum. A positive earthwork, possibly a ridge of dumped spoil, extends to the south. This feature is most likely a pit, perhaps a mining prospecting pit or created by farming activity.  The site is not visible on the 1st or 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps. [2,3]
