Full Description

1m LiDAR DTM data created by the Environment Agency appears to show a series of features, possibly medieval or post-medieval field boundaries with trackways and so on, around SS 8671 2975. The features may imply a farmstead is located here but, equally, they may be the result of geology mixed with the earthworks. [1] Aerial photographs taken in 2008 also appear to show earthworks in this location. [2] There are no features on historic mapping of the site to provide any explanation for the features, suggesting they predate these maps. [3-5]
