Full Description

Newcombe Farm is shown on the Tithe Map for Luxborough. A farmhouse and attached outbuilding are shown, but it is not clear whether they are the present buildings at SS 9726 3716 and at SS 9728 3715. These are shown together with a group of three associated buildings to the south of the group. [1] The buildings were reorganised to form a group around a farm area, with three smaller buildings constructed around the edges of the site, by the time the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map was surveyed. This arrangement is repeated on the 2nd Edition map. [2,3] Since the 2nd Edition map was surveyed, all but the main farmhouse and attached outbuilding had been demolished and several larger, more modern agricultural buildings have been constructed.
