Full Description

The site is depicted as a clear corner of a field on the Luxborough Tithe Map. [1] An old quarry is depicted and labelled on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map. The field boundary had been altered from its previous position plotted on the Tithe Map to accommodate the feature. This suggests it post dates the Tithe Map. [2] The quarry is depicted but not labelled on the 2nd Edition map. [3] The feature is no longer shown on modern mapping. [4]
