Full Description

A circular, flat bottomed depression was noted on aerial photographs. [1-3] The feature is shown on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map, with a track leading from the north. It is labelled as a "Gravel Pit". [4] The feature is depicted but not labelled on the 2nd Edition map. [5]
