Full Description

The Tithe Map for Timberscombe depicts and labels a square toll house at SS 9565 4260, with a gate crossing the entrance to the road to the south. [1] The house was still depicted on the 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps, and has an Ordnance Survey benchmark marked on its southern elevation. The gate appears to have been removed by this time. [2,3] The buildings no longer appears to be extant. [4]
