Full Description

A foot bridge is marked on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map on the southern side of a ford at SS 7869 3154. [1] The bridge is no longer depicted on the 2nd Edition map. [2] The Tithe Map shows the stream running from the site of the bridge southwards but it is not depicted continuing north. It is not clear whether this was merely due to the size of the waterway at this point. The road is shown continuing without interruption, although it is possible the bridge was in place by this point. [3]
