Full Description

A building is shown on the Tithe Map for Dulverton at c. SS 9314 2699, within land parcel 1820. The accompanying Apportionment labels this field as "Quarry Close", owned by the Earl of Carnarvon and occupied by Samuel Buckingham. [1] The building is shown on the 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps, within a sectioned off area of the field. [2,3] The building is no longer shown on modern MasterMap data and has apparently been demolished. The field boundaries in this location have, however, stayed the same as shown on the 1st Edition map. [4]
