A post-medieval quarry was visible on the 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps and annotated as 'old quarry' indicating it had fallen out of use by the time of the 1st survey. The earthworks are still visible on the 2014 MasterMap, though the site is not annotated. [1-3]
