Summary

Two post-medieval gravel pits were visible and annotated on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey mapping. The site was annotated as 'old gravel pit' on the 2nd Edition mapping indicating the site had fallen out of use.

Full Description

Two post-medieval gravel pits were visible and annotated on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey mapping. The site was annotated as 'old gravel pit' on the 2nd Edition mapping and the 6 inch 1963 map, indicating that extraction was no longer taking place. The earthworks were not visible on 2014 Ordnance Survey MasterMap. [1-4]
