An old quarry is shown on the late 19th Century 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map, earthworks of which appear to be still extant.

Full Description

There is a former quarry in Worthy Woods above Chapel Knap. [1] The quarry is shown on the late 19th Century 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map as "Old quarry". It is also shown on the 2nd Edition mapping. [2,3] The quarry is mentioned in the 2019 Conservation Area Appraisal for Porlock Weir as a local source of stone for building. [4]
