Full Description

The 2002 Conservation Area Character Appraisal for Dunster states "On an island site between High Street and The Ball, and a vital element of the street scene, is an unadorned early 19th century or earlier building of plain tile and render with a former commercial garage frontage to the east elevation." [1] The building is depicted and labelled "11" on 2018 MasterMap data. [2] The building is mentioned in the 2018 Conservation Area Appraisal for Dunster. [3] The building is depicted but not labelled on the 25 inch 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps. [4,5] The heritage asset was assessed for inclusion on the Exmoor Local Heritage List in November 2022. It was decided to add the asset to the Local Heritage List. [6]
