MEM21920 - Lion Hunting Stables, Dulverton (Monument)

Type and Period (1)
The car park on Fore Street was occupied for many years by the Lion Hotel stables - the 'Lion Hunting Stables'.  The Lion took over the Barnstaple Stables. In 1867, the fire engine was housed at the Red Lion Stables.
