Full Description
The Cottage was for many years the home of the Abbot family, and renowned for its azaleas and rhododendrons. [1] The Cottage has been a landmark since the early 1800s. It was built along what was, at the time, the only and oldest road into and out of Dulverton. It was built for the Fry family (of chocolate fame), and the Cottage was pictured on the lids of chocolate boxes. [2]
