MEM15354 - Kennisham Hill Mine adit (Monument)
Please read the caveat document.
Type and Period (1)
The location of an adit centred on circa SS 96853595. This is probably the first adit to work Kennisham Hill Mine. The entrance may originally have been arched, the keystone inscribed “G Collins Kennisham Mine”. The arch does not survive, but the adit remains open for circa 60 metres, although in a somewhat unstable condition.
