Full Description

SS 7598 4989. Area of small quarries observed during the survey by the National Trust in 2004 was shown on the Ordnance Survey map [1] to the northwest of the linhay or field barn to the north of Kipscombe Farm. Stone from the overgrown quarries c. 15 metres wide by 8 metres deep was possibly used for the linhay and field walls. [2] Site of an irregular shaped quarry shown on 1880s Ordnance Survey 25 inch map adjoining to the northwest of the barn. [1]
