MDE21551 - Post-medieval allotments south of Molland Common (Monument)

'Allotments' are shown on the Tithe Map for Molland [1]. These fields were originally subdivided into smaller units and leased by individuals from the village. [2] The Tithe Map shows a series of smaller roughly square and rectangular enclosures centred at SS 8069 2946, with two outlying fields abutting a group of parcels within "Tucker's Farm." The associated Apportionment data lists the plots as "Allotments from the Common," owned by Sir Robert George Throckmorton.
