Shaft E, Florence Mine. Depth unknown. Presumably acted as an air shaft for the level running in from adit 9. Remains lie on northern side of hedge bordering the lane. [1] A square feature is shown on the 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps at SS 7521 3237; this may be the shaft mentioned by Dixon [1]. [2,3] The feature is not shown on 2021 MasterMap data. [4]
