Shaft A, Florence Mine. Known to have been 72 feet deep. [1] Florence Mine. "Old shaft" marked on the 2nd Edition and 1963 6 inch maps. [2,3] SS 7495 3207. The 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map labels the structure as simply "Shaft". [4]
