Full Description

The 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map depicts an earthwork at SS 6718 4174. It is labelled "Whitefield Down Quarry". [1] The site is again depicted on the 25 inch 2nd Edition map and is now labelled "Old Quarry". It is shown similarly on the 6 inch 1963 map. [2,3]
