Full Description

A small earthwork is depicted on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map here. It is not annotated. [1] The feature is also shown on the 2nd Edition map. It is much bigger than shown on the previous edition and is labelled 'Quarry'; it may, therefore, still be in use at this time. [2] The quarry is again labelled on the 1963 map and is depicted at a similar size to the previous edition. [3]
