The Enclosure Award for Kentisbury Down dates to 1848. Prior to this, the Down is depicted as open moorland on the Tithe Map for Kentisbury. Various flint scatters have been recovered from the area in the past.

Full Description

The Enclosure Award for Kentisbury Down dates to 1848. [1,2] The Tithe Map for Kentisbury shows the unenclosed Down. [3] By the time the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map was surveyed, the Down had been enclosed. [4]
