Full Description

The site is shown as a clear plot on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map. [1] The 2nd Edition map shows a circular earthwork with a linear bank or ditch leading northeast from its northern side. It is not labelled. [2] A small round mound is marked by the Ordnance Survey and visible on aerial photographs dating to 1977. [3,4] The circular feature is recorded on modern MasterMap data and labelled as a disused quarry. [5]
