Two short lengths of bank noted on aerial photographs were interpreted as pillow mounds. They were not visible during a site visit in 1993.

Full Description

SS 7843 4756. Two short lengths of bank on the west side of Southern Ball were noted on aerial photographs and suggested to represent pillow mounds. [1,2] SS 7843 4757. Alleged pillow mounds. "Two short lengths of bank on the west side of Southern Ball. Pillow mounds?" are recorded by [2]. No evidence for the alleged mounds was seen in an area of coarse grass and some heather. [3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
