Full Description

SS 7647 4519. A doubtful circular banked enclosure was noticed on aerial photographs. [1-3] "A doubtful circular banked enclosure" [3] is recorded at SS 7648 4520. In the vicinity of the National Grid Reference cited are a number of small mounds and other surface disturbance associated with World War Two military activity (see MSO7776). An irregular, poorly defined platform 4 metres in diameter lies at SS 7647 4523. It is clipped by a track on its western side and is almost certainly associated with World War Two activity in the area. It is possibly the feature recorded by McDonnell.
