Full Description
A low, spread bank. Ploughed out field boundary south of Launchett's Ground Gate. Fair on 1947 aerial photograph. [1,2] The Tithe Map for Challacombe shows a field boundary running between SS 6839 4110 and SS 6864 4106. This is again shown on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map; however, by the time the 2nd Edition map was surveyed it had been removed, to be replaced by a boundary to the south, running between SS 6839 4102 and SS 6864 4102. This latter boundary was still extant in 2018. [3-6]
