Full Description

Local information indicates that the pond at SS 6944 4490 was used in connection with a leat to power an organ in the music room at Woolhanger. Cursory examination did not reveal evidence for either sluice arrangements or for a leat. [1,2] Fishpond markedon the Ordnance Survey maps of 1903 and 1963. [3,4] The pond is not present on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map. [5] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [6]
