MDE11722 - Possible Bronze Age barrow southeast of Lyn Cross (Monument)

Summary

A low round mound, noted on aerial photographs taken in 1947 and thought to be a possible Bronze Age barrow, could not be found during field investigation in 1994.

Full Description

SS 7302 4785. Low round mound (thought to be a possible barrow) identified by McDonnell on aerial photographs. [1,2] The reference falls in a pasture field on a gentle north facing slope. There is no trace of a mound. [3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
