MDE11712 - Unconfirmed prehistoric hut circle southeast of Stock Castle (Monument)
Summary
A low ring bank, seen on aerial photographs taken in 1947, was suggested to represent a prehistoric hut circle. No trace could be found during field investigation in 1994.

Full Description
SS 7204 4673. A low ring bank seen by McDonnell [1] on aerial photographs [2] and thought to be a possible hut circle. [1,2] SS 7204 4673. The area is a northwest facing hillslope under pasture. No trace of a ring bank was identified in the vicinity. [3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
