Site Event/Activity record EEM14680 - 2009: WS - Hoar Moor, Mires Project

The archaeological walkover survey of Hoar Moor was carried out on the 11 March 2009, in weather conditions that were cloudy with some rain and intermittent hill fog. All of the identified drainage channels were included within the walkover survey, though separate access routes and baling areas were not defined. This was because access to most, if not all, parts of the drainage network can be achieved while remaining within the 5m wide survey corridors alongside each ditch, and moorland vegetation bales will not to be employed in any ditch-blocking procedures on this site.
