Organisation

Richard Parker

Date

May 2011

Description

The building was subject to rapid survey as part of the Dig Dulverton 2011 project. Features including a cob gable and a sawn-off beam end suggest the originial building may have been lower and of a medieval or early post-medieval date, occupying this plot and the neighbouring one; this was rebuilt in the late 17th or 18th Century and then modified in the 19th and 20th Centuries to form the present shop layout.
