Technique(s)

Organisation

Thames Valley Archaeological Services

Date

April 2002

Description

Archaeological field evaluation was carried out in April 2002 at High Bank, Porlock, in advance of the construction of two semi-detached houses. No archaeological features or finds were revealed. It is likely that a large made ground or topsoil mix layer noted during excavations that was created recently during construction of the nearby fire station, which had been levelled and lowered compared to the evaluation site.
